Privacy Policy for Toolbelt
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Toolbelt mobile
application (the “App”), published by Ziezi Labs
(“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, how it is used,
and the choices you have. It applies to the App distributed on Google Play under the
package name dev.toolbelt.app. By installing or using the App, you agree
to the practices described below.
1. Summary
Toolbelt is a calculator and reference tool for tradespeople. Your calculations, saved history, and app settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us. The App is free and ad-supported, and it offers an optional paid premium upgrade. To support ads, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and purchases, the App uses third-party services from Google that collect or receive certain data, as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Data stored only on your device
- Calculation history and job names you choose to save (stored in a local database on your device).
- App settings such as unit system, theme, default trade, and waste factor.
This information stays on your device, is not sent to our servers (we do not operate any servers that receive it), and is removed when you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
2.2 Data collected or received by third-party services
The App integrates the following Google services, which collect or receive data when you use the App:

We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or files. We do not ask you to create an account.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the App’s core calculator and reference features.
- To display advertising in the free version of the App.
- To understand which features are used so we can improve and prioritize them (analytics).
- To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes, errors, and performance problems.
- To process and validate optional premium purchases and restore them on your devices.
We do not use the data to build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
The App shares data with Google through the third-party services listed in Section 2.2. Specifically, data is shared with Google for the purposes of serving advertising (AdMob), analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), crash reporting (Crashlytics), performance monitoring (Firebase Performance Monitoring), and purchase processing (Google Play Billing). Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policies (see Section 5).
We may also disclose information where required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

6. Advertising and Your Choices
- Consent. Where required (for example, in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), the App presents a consent request using Google’s User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are served. You can change your choices the next time the consent form is shown.
- Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings under Settings › Privacy › Ads (the exact path varies by device).
- Remove ads. Purchasing the premium upgrade removes advertising from the App.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- On-device data. Calculation history and settings remain on your device until you delete them within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes this local data.
- Data held by Google services. Data collected by AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, and Play Billing is retained by Google according to its own retention policies.
- Requesting deletion. To request deletion of data associated with your use of the App, email us at zzhelev+toolbelt@gmail.com. We will take reasonable steps to action your request and to forward it to the relevant service provider where applicable. You can also clear local data within the App and uninstall the App at any time.
8. Data Security
Data transmitted between the App and Google’s services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS). While no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we and our service providers take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.
9. Children’s Privacy
Toolbelt is a general-audience, professional tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at zzhelev+toolbelt@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International Users
The App is available internationally. By using the App, you understand that data processed by the Google services described above may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, subject to the safeguards described in Google’s privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page and post the updated policy at this URL. Material changes may also be communicated within the App or on the App’s Google Play listing. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
